NWFL Prediction: FC Robo, Nasarawa Amazon, Rivers Angels, Edo Queens to make super six in the 2022 campaign

The 32nd edition of the Nigerian Women Football League will kick off in less than 24 hours with all 14 teams ready for the actions. After the many preseason tournaments that have been held across the country, niiksports has made their pick of the teams that are likely to make it to the super six this season.
1. Rivers Angels: After getting 3 wins and 2 draws in the super six played at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu -Ode in Ogun state, the Jewels of Rivers clinched their 7th  NWFL title  and qualified and qualified for the maiden CAF women championships.
Crowned the winners of the 2020/2021 NWFL season and boast of the wealth of experiences their players have had over the years. Though the Angels have seen over 5 players leave the club, they remained formidable with the skillful Vivian Ikechukwu it is no doubt that they are the teams to be weary of going into the new season. The Jewels of Rivers will go head to head with Delta Queens in their opening match
2. Edo Queens: They ended 4th on the league table and lost all 5 matches in the super six last season. Edo Queens are the team to beat this season with all the paparazzi surrounding them at the moment, they appear to be the best spending team in the NWFL after signing a deal with air peace which will see them fly to honor all their away games with Adamawa Queens as their first stop. With so much support and motivation from their major sponsor, the Edo State Government who had signed an equal pay deal. This mean the queens get paid same allowances as their male counterparts. The tactical and very experienced coach has had it smooth in the previous season and its left with no excuse to loose.
3. FC Robo: The Robo ladies finished 5th on the league table and 3rd in the super six after getting 2 wins, 1 draw and losing one out of the 5 matches played. They seem to be the low budget team among the 6 picks but has proven to be unbeaten in big games and making a statement when they meet teams from the lower league and after winning the flying officers cup held in Abuja this year. They are tagged a ‘one family team’ because the maestro coach Emmanuel Osahon Orobosa has managed to keep the combination of the highest goal scorer in the 2020/2022 season Monday Gift, Taiwo Lawal, Rukayat Shobowale and Opeyemi Ajakaye for a long time, and can boast of the best attacking force in the league.
4. Nasarawa Amazon: The Amazons falls on the 4th position in our pick after adding decorated players to their attacking and defensive forth. They are gifted with the National U20 Women coach, Christopher Danjuma as their head coach. Although Amazons are the second rated underdog going into this season after finishing just 8th on the table and failing to qualify for the super six in the last season, the star studded team can boast of a complete squad of players who has donned the green white green color in recent time, players like the Super falcons’ returnees: Moraine, Duru and Uche, the U20 returnees; Mercy, Adoo, Ijeoma, the former U17 attacker, Hembafan and Yusuf Hannah. The addition of the former Rivers angels left footed wizard Christopher Precious and former Edo queens attacker Owoeye Temitope coupled with Aweda Titilayo who has not stopped scoring since last month.
5. Bayelsa Queens: Last year’s second highest goal scorer Charity Reuben exit has no negative impact on the team after the management moved quickly to add former Nasarawa Amazons striker, Chinyere and inform defender Sarah Nnnadim who can play in central defense or left wingback. They were the previous season table toppers before the super six and had since improved after displaying the best midfield players in the flying officers cup held in Abuja.
6. Niger Ratels:  Newly promoted outfit Niger Ratels are the fastest growing club with coach Bankole leading the train. The team has welcomed players from the Amateurs League, The Championships and Professional teams across the country. With the signing of Ojo Oluwafehinti  Lydia Lydia and Unogwu Deborah they looked to have prepared for their promotion and taken the NWFL by storm as they will play host to Delta Queens of Asaba at the Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Abuja on Wednesday 28th December 2021.
