FC Robo Queens - Santa Clause and the Coaster Bus

The Robo Queens are the newest proud owners of a coaster bus after the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Engr Jide Sanwoolu presented the much needed bus to the Queens at the government house in Lagos on 24th December 2021.

It is a wonder how the land ladies who pride themselves with professional players that have donned the Green White Green shirt survive the very important long different journey to honor away games and still return with victory. However, Santa clause has provided a gift which will see the Lagos landladies travel free of overlapping and unnecessary bus station stops like in the 20th century relay races due to insufficient seats from their old rickety coaster bus that couldn’t conformably accommodate more than 14 players and other club arsenals to honor their away games.

The coaster bus will surely serve as a source of encouragement for FC Robo to continue to fly the state in the Nigerian women professional leagues outfit. An encouragement that will be confirmed when they play host to the struggling Delta Queens whom have had a poor start and still finding their bearings in the NWFL premiership22 after managing just 1 point from 3 games, a record that automatically provides a high positive moral to their opponents, who is to say the coach will not do the Sanusi Olaleke if they lose to Robo at the legacy stadium on the 19th of January 2022

The Lagos landladies have over the years produced a number of high profile and successful Professional Female Footballers such as The African Female footballer for two (2) consecutive years – Asisat Oshoala, the current Real madid superstar, Rasheedat Ajibade, the former U20 National Team Captain and the highest goal scorer in the NWFL premiership 2019 – Monday Gift among many others.

Investing in this successful team under the care of the maestro, Coach Emmanuel Osahon would attract a huge applaud and add more value to the state and a blessing to the national team in the coming years which will further promote the development and involvement of other private bodied in Nigerian Women Football.

What is left unsaid is if the state government are looking into ways of catching up with Edo State Government by becoming a major sponsor of the elite Lagos Landladies.
