16 Goal Rush in NWFL-Premiership-Matchday 4 Wrap Up

On Matchday 4, we saw 12 clubs strive to keep the cheer on the faces of their suppprters and fans
as they return to the stand on the 12th of January 2022.

The december player of the month, Mercy Omokwu led her side away to adamawa to face a side who are yet to record a win in the NWFL-Premiership, but surprizinsly it was all home wins as Adamawa,
Sunshine records first win in the 2021/2022 NWFL-Premiership.

Mercy Omokwu was isolated and closely marked by Adamawa Queens defenders as she watches Eunice Ezeani steal the show and Adamawa bags all three points.
Back in Edo state, Mercy Idoko's goal caused no damage and was less celebrated beacuse Yemisi Samuel and Akudo Ogbonna's goal gifted the under-fire boss  Wemimo one more trial and sealed a  confortable win for Edo Queens, Coach Wemimo will have to win one more game to convince the major sponsors, Edo State Governmnet of their continous support and may decide her faith with the Queens.
Pelican stars despite  brimging in a new coach were unable to score in a 2-0 defeat in Osun and have now conceeded more goals than every other team in group A having a  total of 9 goal deficit.

Kesiena Ojiyovwi's early goal sank the morale of the Calabar stars, Ebere Oleka ensured they never got the needed motivation with a 25th minutes penalty kick.

It appears as though the goalscoring boots were switched between groups during the christ break, perhaps 'goal santa' took a turn in group B as we see more goals compared to group A.

In group B of the NWFLL-Premiership, the game between Sunshine Queens of Akure fc and Fc Robo Queens ended in a 2- nill victory.
A defeat which comes as a shock to the new coaster bus owners, the 'Lagos Landladies' were left for confusion after goals from Aluko Mariam in the 12th minutes and Olabiyi Fatojomi's 54th rendered Folashade Ijamilu's 90 minutes goal unnoticed as the home side scooped all three points.

Heading to Bayelsa, it would be assumed that Royal Queens have played all three matches without a striker or a defender after conceeding 7 goals and scoring none. Goals from Aderemi Mary, Sunday Juliet and Juliet Bassey in the first 45 munites was enough to chew back to Asaba.
You still Wonder where the scorers have been before? well  it would please you to know that Cecillia Nku, Maryann Ezeanagi, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu were all on the scoresheet as Rivers Angels run riot on unsuspecting Abia Angels with a 4 - 0 win in Porth hacourt.
After winning 3 out of the 4 opening matches , Rivers Angels sits in the first postion with a 3 points gap from Bayelsa Queens who sits second on the table with 7 points in 4 matches.
