Nigerian Women Football Deserves More Attention - Rasheedat Ajibade

Former FC Robo Queens Football Club of Lagos and member of Super Falcons of Nigeria, Rasheedat Ajibade has said the attention given to male football in Nigeria should also be extended to female football.

Ajibade who is currently playing for Avaldsnes IL of Norway said this in an interview granted recently by local television being monitored in Lagos

Asked her on opinion if she support equal pay salary between male and female footballers in Nigeria,Ajibade said the female football in Nigeria has come of age and football authority should ensure that both male and female football are in the same page.

"I am still young to answer the question if I support equal pay for both male and female footballers in nigeria.if the authority can do it,all well and good but If they fail to do it,let every Nigerian support female football so that it will attract more foreign players and investors.

"I also want the authority to get sponsor for our female league.We should forget that female players have limited to play.Let all the entitlement of players range from training allowance, salary, winning bonus and other incentives should pay as at well due",she said.

Asked if she prefers foreign or local coach to handle Falcons,Ajibade said she is not in the best position to decide for NFF saying that the best coach should be appointed as Super Falcons coach
"I can play under either local or foreign coach.Any coach that NFF wants to employ should be flexible in nature and approach,"she said.

Commenting on the Norwegian league ,The Falcons striker,said the Norwegian female league is tough,fast and good noting that only the fast pacy players can survive in the Norwegian league.
She also complained that the weather in Norway will affect African players who want to come to the Norwegian league but noted that such players would adapt and cope with the weather soon.
